Terms and conditions
At Vaidehi Yoga, classes are offered with care, intention, and thoughtful preparation. Please read the following before you enrol.
1. Who you are dealing with
Vaidehi Yoga is an independent yoga practice based in California, United States. You can reach me at contact@vaidehiyoga.com. Vaidehi Yoga is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any Sivananda organisation, the Divine Life Society, or any other institution. The teaching follows the method of Swami Sivananda of Rishikesh and the classical texts. That is a description of a lineage, not a claim of affiliation.
2. What you are buying
Three things are offered.
Monthly Sādhanā. A four-week batch of 18 live online sessions, Monday to Friday, in either the morning or the evening batch, with access to that period's recordings.
Two-Month Sādhanā. Two consecutive four-week batches on the same terms.
Practice Library. One month of access to recorded sessions. No live classes are included.
All three are one-off purchases. Nothing renews automatically and you will not be charged again unless you buy again.
3. Enrolment and batches
Live classes run in fixed four-week batches. Everyone begins and finishes together, because each session builds on the one before it. Enrolment closes a few days before a batch starts, and a batch does not accept new students once it has begun. If you enrol after a batch has started, you will be placed in the next batch or offered the Practice Library instead, whichever you prefer. Two batch times are offered, 6:00 to 7:00 AM and 6:00 to 7:00 PM Pacific Time, Monday to Friday. You may attend either. A batch contains 18 sessions across four weeks. Rest days are part of the calendar deliberately. The full calendar is shared when the batch opens.
4. Payment
All prices are in United States dollars. Payment is taken by Stripe, and your card details are handled by Stripe and never reach this website or me. If your card is issued in another currency, your bank sets the conversion rate and may add a fee. That is between you and your bank. Your place is confirmed when payment completes. You will receive a receipt from Stripe immediately, and the Google Meet link, batch calendar and WhatsApp group invitation in the day before the batch begins.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Once you register for a batch
All registrations are final. No cancellations, refunds, or transfers are permitted once you have registered. Please enroll only if you are ready to commit to the full batch.
Missed classes
No refunds, credits, or carry-forward of classes are provided for sessions you miss. Recordings of each session are provided so you can catch up on missed classes.
If I cancel a session
If I need to cancel an individual session, it will either be rescheduled or a recording will be provided.
If I cancel the batch
If I cancel the entire batch, you will receive a full refund.
Please enroll only when you are confident that you can commit to the batch.
6. Recordings and materials
Recordings, written materials and class content remain my property. Access is granted to you personally for your own practice. You may not download, copy, share, forward, republish or resell any recording or material, and you may not give another person access to a folder shared with you. Access may be withdrawn without refund if this happens. Recordings capture the teacher only. No student appears in any recording.
7. Health, and the limits of what I do
I am a yoga teacher, not a doctor, physiotherapist or mental health professional. Nothing taught here is medical advice, and nothing here replaces care from a qualified professional. You practise unsupervised, in your own space, at your own risk. You are responsible for your surroundings, for telling me about anything affecting your practice, and for stopping when something hurts. 8. Your conduct
Classes are small and shared. Please arrive on time, keep the space respectful, and treat other students and the WhatsApp group with courtesy. I may remove a student, without refund, for behaviour that disrupts a class or makes others uncomfortable. This has never happened and I do not expect it to.
9. Changes
Prices, class times and batch dates may change. Any change applies to future batches, never to one you have already paid for. These terms may be updated. The version in force is the one published on the day you enrol.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, my liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the class in question. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, where the law does not permit that limitation.
